our inspiration

Our mission of building for a better future expands beyond just the inner workings of our team. We aim to give back, not only by spreading STEM interest, but by enabling those who are interested in STEM with the tools they need to pursue it.

Curriculum resources

In an effort to pass down knowledge to younger students, share what we have learned with other teams, and facilitate a learning process that we can improve upon over the years, we have created a curriculum with 10 diverse, developed areas shown below.

What is fll?

FIRST® LEGO® League is the most accessible, guided, global robotics competition, helping students and teachers to build a better future together. The program is built around theme-based Challenges to engage children ages 9 to 14* in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering. The foundation of the program is the FIRST® Core Values, which emphasizes teamwork, discovery, and innovation. Students emerge more confident, excited, and equipped with the skills they need in a changing workforce.

Since many CRyptonite students have extensive FLL experience, mentoring younger teams has become a staple of our Outreach program for many years. CRyptonite students guide younger teams, keeping them motivated and helping them come up with new ways to solve complex challenges.
Interested in starting a team or partnering with Team 624?

Every year, CRyptonite hosts a FLL qualifier competition for 27 local teams to compete in for a place at the Houston Regional. CRyptonite students with mentor guidance plan and execute nearly every aspect of the qualifier, and it’s success has been recognized my multiple local media outlets.

Contact us about outreach opportunities and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!
