Students from Team 624 hosted a FIRST LEGO League Regional Qualifier on December 7, 2013. The Katy FLL Qualifier hosted 23 FLL teams from across the Houston Region. Ten of these teams earned advancement to the Houston Regional Championships being held January 4, 2014 at the Merrell Center in Katy, TX. Students refereed, scored and managed the tournament providing a positive role model for the FLL students to follow. One of the ten teams advancing, 15750 Naturally Beck, from Beck Jr High, is coached by CRyptonite students.
