The first ever 2021 Texas Cup was team 624’s first chance to get back into action after almost 15 months of pandemic event shutdowns. Because of ongoing safety concerns , FIRST in Texas allowed limited students and mentors to attend. Whether attending in person or watching from home, the students were thrilled to be back on the competition field. Team 624 was part of the winning alliance  of the Lone Star Division, setting up for the grand finale by playing the winner of the Bluebonnet division. In the end, Team 624 were Texas Cup Finalist and UIL State Champion Runners-up. A funny note, thanks to some clever decorating and hair spiking, our team also won the “Game Ball” contest!
