It is an exciting time for Team 624 on many fronts. One major goal that we have been working closely with Katy ISD on is the development of a Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) Center that can be used by all Katy ISD FIRST Robotics Teams. With the upcoming Katy ISD bond proposal, we are almost there in achieving this goal! The bond contains funding for an approximately 24,000 square foot STEM Center with 8 distinct project bays for the Robotics Teams to build their robots along with a central high bay space to set up a complete FRC playing field. There are also multipurpose rooms and a large common shop area. The STEM Center will be located between the Miller Career Center and Katyland Road. As you can see from the pictures, it will be a fantastic place to continue our expansion of FIRST across Katy ISD and provides Team 624 with the stability of a permanent build site.
