Each year, ConocoPhillips, a major sponsor of Team 624, hosts a clay shooting tournament as a means of raising awareness and much needed funding for veterans’ organizations. This year, Team 624 student volunteers, coordinated by mentor Steve Brierty, helped ConocoPhillips have one of the most successful tournaments yet. he weather was perfect for the tournament and the student volunteers were kept very busy assisting the large group. All the tournament proceeds went to Team Red, White and Blue, a national veterans’ organization run by, and in support of, veterans from all eras, but primarily serving those who returned (and the families of those who did not) the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan.
