Team 624 was invited to be the main event at BP America’s Engineering Day in Houston, TX. Several team members had the opportunity to inspire students from other schools in STEM areas. The team brought several robots: Clawbot (2008), Kingler (2010), Panzer (2012), and Thor (2013). The students were engaged in fun-filled demonstrations in which they were able to see how the robots worked and had the opportunity to drive them. We also brought an electronics and pneumatics board to demonstrate concepts. The event was a success, as many were hooked on FRC and wanted to start their own team at their high school.
