For the second time in three months, Cinco Ranch High School FIRST Robotics Team 624 has been recognized by the Katy ISD School Board for their exceptional performance and progress in robotics. Team 624 was recognized at the August 27, 2013 Katy ISD School Board meeting for continuing our focus on Robotics development across the summer by attending and demonstrating excellent performance at two events – the Indiana Robotics Invitational in Indianapolis and winning the Texas Robot Roundup in Austin. CRyptonite had 26 students receive a special request to appear and be recognized, where they were each presented with a personalized certificate by the Katy ISD Board. Bill Waters, Student Team President, closed by thanking the Katy ISD Board for their recognition and support. Mike Outlaw, mentor for Team 624 notes, “This recognition continues to show the strong support Cinco Ranch High School FIRST Robotics Team 624 receives from the Katy ISD Board and the recognition that Team 624 has in setting up a growth oriented STEM environment for the students and preparing them to pursue a college STEM oriented degree.”
